Day 64 – My journey to find reasons to vote for Hillary rather than just against Trump.
She understands science – as well as its importance.
Scientific American came up with 20 science-related questions for the candidates. The candidates’ answers were posted on Scientific American’s website in September. SA invited readers to evaluate the responses. SA then had their own science panel also evaluate the responses and created a “report card.” It covers a range of topics, including Ocean Health, Opioids, Space, Nuclear Power, Water and Climate Change.
Gary Johnson’s responses weren’t received in time for the public evaluation, but are included in the article with grades from SA’s scientists.
Each question was scored 1-5; 5 being the highest score. The final tallies are as follows:
Clinton: 64
Trump: 7
Johnson: 30
Stein: 44
The questions, the candidates’ answers and SA’s evaluation are all in the following article.
